Warner Bros. goes above and beyond to rectify endless ‘Batman’ game problems

The PC version of “Batman: Arkham Knight” has been added back to Steam after the game spent over four months off the market while developers worked on fixing the large number of bugs and glitches. The newest “Batman” title from Warner Bros. may be back, but it’s still broken for many gamers.

One of the biggest issues that the PC gamers are facing is the low frame rate, which is making for rocky gameplay. Some are still having problems with the game not working well with specific graphics processing units (GPU). A Warner Bros. representative announced on a Steam community page that they know there are compatibility issues, and they are still working on fixing these problems.

“We are still working with our GPU partners to add full support for SLI Crossfire. In addition, we are working with these partners to address stability issues on certain cards related to the latest drivers,” wrote the Warner Bros. representative.

They may be working on fixing the four month long problem, but is this too little, too late? In an attempt to make up for the game’s poor PC port, Warner Bros. is giving away free copies of their last four “Batman” titles to those that purchased the game before Nov. 16. This move could help reduce some of the outrage that many unhappy consumers have expressed, while at the same time incentivise more people to purchase the game. However, those that already own the past titles in the “Batman” series won’t be gaining anything new.

Upset customers who don’t care for the deal Warner Bros. has offered them can get a full refund for “Batman: Arkham Knight.” Warner Bros. announced on Saturday that they are offering a refund for not only their newest “Batman” game, but also the season pass for those that purchased one. Even the gamers that have played the game to completion without any issues can get a refund, but those that want one will have to request it by Dec. 31.

Warner Bros. may be facing some bad PR for making a sloppy PC port, but they have done more than expected to gain back the trust of their fanbase. They haven’t given up on making their game playable for all, and announced that they will “continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues we cannot fix.”
