We always knew this day would come. After Executive Producer of TDMP, Alexander “Lexx” Ore, wrapped up a successful crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo in Dec. 2014, production commenced almost immediately; in 2015, Ore sought and locked in top Afrobeat acts to convey the richness of Africa’s dance culture. Working with entertainment juggernauts in the Nigerian market, such as Beat 99 FM, Ore not only solicited the best and brightest entertainers in Nigeria, but also shot several scenes in settings that evoke the cultural milieu of life in Lagos, Nigeria.

One year after production concluded, Ore brings TDMP to the Big Apple, the city where he says the film along with its intense action and dance sequences fared really well. According to Ore, “it gives me so much pleasure to have NYC host the original premiere. We’ve had such great response to the film from audiences around the world but the movie especially tested really well in the New York market. I can’t wait for New Yorkers to experience the visually stylistic and ingenious nature of Afrobeat dance on the big screen.”

The screenplay for TDMP was written by Ore, Tope Oguniran and Yetunde Ogunleye, based on a story by Ore.  The film was produced by Alvin Moonsear and Deji Awokoya. For movie updates, please visit tdmpthemovie.com. For more information about the premiere in NYC, visit TDMPinNYC.
