Bands to Listen to: King Mulhacen, Bahamas, Father John Misty

 

This week on “Bands to Listen to” we have shortlisted three bands to feature.  These bands have an easy-going vibe with just enough groove to be perfect for any day or setting.

 

1. King Mulhacen

King Mulhacen is a folk rock band composed of two members, Henry Bartholomay and Sean Lemkey, who met at Fordham University. Their self-titled album, “King Mulhacen,” features songs about figuring out life in transition. The melodic guitar will draw you in, and the intimate lyrics will keep you hooked. 2. Bahamas

Bahamas features Canadian singer-songwriter Afie Jurvanen. The Bahamas album “Barchords,” released Feb.7, 2012, has gotten much attention for its soul-filled lyrics and laid-back, melancholic charm. If you are looking for a great album to play in the background at a party, to play for a drive around in your car, or just need something to relax, Bahamas is sure to be the perfect choice. 3. Father John Misty

Father John Misty is led by American folk singer-songwriter Joshua Tillman, who has been a member in the indie-rock bands Saxon Shore and Fleet Foxes. The album titled “Fear Fun,” is a solo album with a a folk-rock vibe that captures its own unique sound. “Fear Fun” is a masterfully crafted album where Tillman established a voice that of his own and tells an adventurous story, released on May 1, 2012.
